Before you begin: Ask a healthcare professional whether mouth tape is appropriate for you. Do not use it if you have trouble breathing through your nose. Remove it immediately if you experience discomfort or breathing difficulty.

How do you apply BoomBoom Mouth Tape?
Follow these four steps from our mouth tape instructions:
-
Prepare your skin. Make sure the skin around your mouth is clean and dry.
-
Apply the tape. Gently place it over closed lips.
-
Secure it. Press lightly so the tape adheres.
-
Remove it slowly. Peel it off gently in the morning, or sooner if needed. Remove it immediately if you experience discomfort or difficulty breathing.
New to mouth tape? Start with 20 to 30 minutes
It’s a new sensation, so give yourself time to get familiar with it. If mouth tape is appropriate for you, try wearing it for 20 to 30 minutes while you’re awake, relaxing, or watching TV.
Remove it immediately if you experience discomfort, irritation, or difficulty breathing. Feeling comfortable during an awake trial doesn’t necessarily mean overnight use is appropriate; follow the product warnings and your healthcare professional’s guidance.
BoomBoom Team Tips
- Dry lips: Apply a small amount of lip balm to the lips before applying the tape, keeping the surrounding skin clean and dry.
- Oily skin or trouble getting the tape to stick: Gently cleanse the skin around the mouth and dry it thoroughly before application. Press the tape firmly on the lips to secure.
- Difficult removal: One teammate has found that gently using his tongue underneath the tape helps gradually loosen it from his lips, rather than pulling it away from the outside

What is the slit in BoomBoom Mouth Tape for?
The center slit is there for comfort and convenience. It lets you sip water through a straw while you’re awake without removing the tape. The tape’s real job is gently keeping your lips together, which does the work of encouraging nose breathing.
Do you need saline spray before applying mouth tape?
No. Saline spray and saline rinses are not required to apply BoomBoom Mouth Tape. A separate nighttime routine may include other products, but those products are not part of the tape’s application instructions.
If your nose is blocked or you cannot comfortably breathe through it, skip mouth tape. Do not treat using a spray, rinse, or nasal stick as clearance to tape your mouth.
What should you know before using mouth tape?
Mouth taping is not appropriate for everyone. Do not use BoomBoom Mouth Tape if you have serious heart or respiratory conditions or have consumed alcohol or sedatives, as stated in our product warnings.
If you snore regularly, suspect sleep apnea, or have ongoing trouble breathing through your nose, seek medical advice before trying it. Mouth tape is not a treatment for sleep apnea or a replacement for prescribed care.

Can you remove mouth tape during the night?
Yes. You can remove the tape whenever you need to. Peel it off slowly, and remove it immediately if it causes discomfort or breathing difficulty.
